How accurate is Costimator?
With any manufacturing estimating software, it's out-of-the-box accuracy depends on the lens through which it is viewed. In a general sense, accuracy means exactitude. However, estimate means a rough or approximate calculation. This is a paradox with all estimating programs in the manufacturing industry.
Each manufacturer is relatively unique in the industries that they cater to, their shops rates, capabilities, technology, and best practices, as well as their relationships with their raw materials and sub-contract vendors. Without spending some time to personalize the out-of-the box data of an estimating program, the term "accurate" will remain subjective.
